Who conducts PMP Certification Examination?

PMP Certification Examination is conducted by Project Management Institute (PMI). Project Management Institute is the world’s leading not-for-profit professional membership association for the project, program and portfolio management profession. Founded in 1969, PMI works on advancing the project management globally. PMI offers eight certifications that recognize knowledge and competency, including the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.

Why should you consider the PMP Certification?

If you are a project manager, the PMP certification shows that you have adequate project management knowledge, experience and skills to successfully plan, execute, monitor and control projects.

It demonstrates to your employers, clients and colleagues that you can be relied upon to complete projects successfully. Earning Power with PMP certification

Among survey respondents participated in PMI’s Earning Power Salary Survey, Ninth Edition, those with a PMP certification garner a higher salary (20% higher on average) than those without a PMP certification. The majority of participants in this study have the PMP certification.

Those with the certification earn more than those without in virtually all of the 34 countries surveyed, though differences do vary by country. The largest differential is noted in South Africa where PMP certification holders have a median salary 47% higher than those who do not hold the certification. Another telling factor is the length of time a person has held the designation of PMP.

In nearly all countries, median salary steadily increases with PMP certification tenure. In Taiwan and Saudi Arabia, the median salary of those who have been certified for 10 or more years is more than double those who have been certified for 5 years or fewer.
